Running
So I have started training for a half-marathon with a small group of friends! It is really fun and somewhat challenging. It is definitely a whole mind game. Your mind tries to convince you of a million different reasons why you shouldn't be running, but you must force yourself to do it. It is part of my new year's resolution this year to run. Last year was to quit smoking, which worked out I'm happy to say. That was also a terrible mind game, where your brain tries to convince you to smoke. I had dreams about smoking and there were a few times when my mind decided to forget that I quit, kind of blacked it out. i don't have anything bad to say about smokers though, a lot of awesome out of the box conversations were had while being stimulated by smokes. I don't think that its possible to ever be fully free of smoking once you're hooked either, but its serves a purpose sitting in the back of your mind as a reminder of how powerful your will can be. Does that make any sense at all? I can't believe that there are so many words here without a drawing.
Anyways, running! Its much easier with some supportive friends who have experience training for a marathon thank you thank you! Its about 8 weeks out and I am running 3 times a week. We ran 6 miles on Sunday and it is going to go up every week! Phew!

Penguin Animation
Hi all!
No sketch today, something different. I wanted to share some animation sequences that I made with a penguin character that I designed for the good people at Shockwave, who have launched a bunch of new products lately.
Here are a few of the animations that I made for the little avatar penguin! Check it out! Click on the penguin below!

I made these for the game 'Icebreakers' which can be found on their site here:

Sign up and play! Have a good one!

Life drawings (nudity)
This past weekend I drew at the Bay Area Model's Guild's life drawing marathon, what a blast! I had a great time drawing and catching up with a few buddies that I haven't seen in a while. 25 models on multiple stages for drawing awesomeness! Special thanks to all of the great models and the great talk about drawing afterwards with Michael Mattesi. Thanks Mike! Here's a few drawings from the 5 and 10 minute sessions. Enjoy!
